The joining fee is a one-off payment. Fees are payable annualy.

A new member joining after the summer will pay reduced membership fees - fee structure available on application.

Our member run club has been successfully running since 1945, attracting a wide variety of players.  Whether you are a seasoned player, or have never played a game before, you'll find that The Downs Lawn Tennis Club will be for you.  We have players of all ages and abilities, plus a dedicated coach for either individual or group coaching. The Club has four Macadam courts, three of which are floodlit.

We have very popular club mix-in sessions on Tuesday afternoons, Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons and we also run social and competitive tournaments throughout the year. 

During the summer we participate in a number of friendly matches with other local tennis clubs. Several teams currently compete in the Surrey Leagues - mens, ladies and mixed doubles - and we have a singles box league which is very active and is open to both men and women.

We welcome Junior members, and have junior sessions on a Saturday morning. Juniors have priority to play on the courts Mondays and Fridays from 4-6.30pm.

The club has a fully licensed bar which is open every evening of the week as well as Saturday and Sunday from midday selling, beers, spirits and wines at club prices. "Happy Hour" on Friday and Saturday evenings from 7 - 8 p.m. offers tremendous value. 

The bar has a cosy, friendly atmosphere and there is cable TV for all those sporting events.

Our social facilities are open to both playing and non-playing (social) members.
